About Lindfield Cricket Club

Club Background

Lindfield Cricket Club is one of the oldest sports clubs in the county having been established in 1747 and is part of a long and proud history of cricket in Sussex. We have a thriving senior playing membership with over 90 senior playing members, fielding 4 league sides on a Saturday and 1 friendly side on a Sunday. In addition, we have an ever expanding Academy (over 200 members, both boys and girls) with an excellent reputation across the county.

All members have access to training facilities during the summer, and winter nets are available from February to April at Ardingly School. Seperate junior nets are available throughout the winter.

Both the senior and junior sections also have access to a number of ECB-qualified cricket coaches.

In addition to regular cricket, the club hosts a Cricket Week, including a bi-annual fixture against the MCC, during the first week of August and a Lindfield Sixes Charity Tournament on the August Bank Holiday Monday.

The 1st XI, 2nd XI, Sunday XI and Academy teams play on Lindfield Common. The 3XI and 4th XI play at Hickmans Lane and Great Walstead School.

We have attained a number of accreditations including:

 - Sussex Cricket Board FOCUS club
